The election of 2008, and the aftermath which we are currently witnessing, has a truth at its core.
That is the death of journalism. There has always been partisanship in the press, but nothing like we have all seen in this campaign and what we’ve seen since November 4th.
My, what will we see as we go forward from here?
The Constitution did not promise a fair press. It promised a free press, so we shouldn’t complain too much.
However, as a lobby, the press should not be underestimated. People can be sheep, and the press has just proven their power to run the political process.
I am sure they are proud of this, but as citizens I ask us all to be wary, and to think and vote for what we, ourselves, believe in.
Let’s vote with our dollars to the media for a fair press.
